Superman came home yesterday by ambulance. He is not cleared for car traveling yet. He still has his NG tube in and we have to cathe him now because one of his medications is causing him not to be able to urinate. So we had to get trained on the NG tube replacement and cathing him. Which is harder than we thought it would be. But we are home and that is all that matters. He seems to be adjusting to home life okay. Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Superman loves and appreciates all the love from everyone.
Superman has been doing awesome in therapy. He has been do well in his OP therapy, I think this is favorite therapy, because he gets to eat. They have been taking it slow with feeding. He has been getting a couple ounces a day of yogurt, applesauce, and pudding. In PT he has been working different things, like arm strength, walking and crawling. He is doing okay with this. He struggles with this part though but he giving his all. I am so proud of how far he has come since he has been here. The only problem is his sleeping pattern. It seems like every two days he will not sleep all night and he will stay up for 2 days and sleep all day the next day. When he does this he has an increase in his seizures, the only good thing is they don’t last longer then 20-45 seconds. Please continue to pray for my Superman. I would like to say thank you for your prayers and positive thoughts. Superman loves you all.
We are finally at rehab! He is not adjusting to it well. He will not go to sleep. He has had 10mg of melatonin and is still not asleep. They have so many rules here it is not funny. No heating pad and no bags in the fridge, you have to label all your stuff. The one good thing is that he has his own room for now. He has been having a bunch of seizures since we have been here. I hope this rehab stay goes by quick because I am starting to get tired. I just want too be home now. It has been to long. Please continue to pray for my Superman and send positive thoughts. Thanks for all the love.
Superman wants to say a big thank you for the wonderful donations that Michelle Belle collected to make our stay at the hospital more bearable. A big thank you to all that donated the wonderful gift cards, the parking passes, the check, snacks, and everything else. It is much appreciated. Please continue to pray for my Superman and send positive thoughts. Superman says thanks for all the love.
Superman received more Christmas cards today! He also was given two Christmas trees, the one tree is a super hero themed and the other one is a baby Shark tree. I thought maybe Destiny could use at her baby shower. I also got a treat myself yesterday in the form of a massage. It was really relaxing. He is starting to move forward again. Please continue to pray for Superman and send out positive thoughts. Thanks for the cards and prayers.
So, Superman is still in John Hopkins. His seizures started to increase again, that means more test. He had 26 seizures yesterday. They are still talking about rehab, I am not real happy about that we have been here 42 days now. It sure would be nice to be home for Christmas but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
Superman had a rough night. His blood pressure kept dropping down to 70/30 they had put him back on the norepinephrine to help with that. He is also on the c- pap instead of the nasal cannula. He has been resting most of the morning. Oh yeah that’s right it is Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving everyone from Superman at John Hopkins. Please continue to pray for my Superman and thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts.
Sitting here at John Hopkins hoping for some answers today about what is going on with Superman. He has a CT scan today at 1 hopefully this will give us some answers instead of the doctors all telling me he is a mystery they are trying solve. He ran a temperature of 103.8 all night. He is getting weird rashes on his arms and legs. His belly has been descended for a couple days. His medications have been increased. They have helped the seizures. But with the fevers I’m, afraid they return with a bang. Please continue to pray for my Superman! I would like to thank everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts!
So, Superman had his breathing tube removed today but it didn’t last too long they had to put it right back in because he wasn’t ready for it to come out. They took him off his rubinol which is for drooling. They put him back on it today. To help with all the secretions. They said they would try again in a couple days. We have been here since Halloween so that makes it twelve so far. I wish they figure something out. Especially what is causing the fevers. Still no explanation for them. They have done almost every test they can think of. They are calling him a mystery. I don’t know what to think about that. I wish they would figure something out and bring my Superman back to me. Please continue to pray and send positive thoughts. Thank you!
Dylan still hasn’t woke up from the pentibarital coma yet. His seizures are starting to slow down. He is now getting some nutrition through nd tube. We are just sitting here waiting for him to wake up. So maybe today will be the day he wakes up. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!! Please continue to pray for my Superman. now.https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2413099008706781&id=100000201167238
