Superman has been working hard!

Superman has been doing awesome in therapy. He has been do well in his OP therapy, I think this is favorite therapy, because he gets to eat. They have been taking it slow with feeding. He has been getting a couple ounces a day of yogurt, applesauce, and pudding. In PT he has been working different things, like arm strength, walking and crawling. He is doing okay with this. He struggles with this part though but he giving his all. I am so proud of how far he has come since he has been here. The only problem is his sleeping pattern. It seems like every two days he will not sleep all night and he will stay up for 2 days and sleep all day the next day. When he does this he has an increase in his seizures, the only good thing is they don’t last longer then 20-45 seconds.Please continue to pray for my Superman. I would like to say thank you for your prayers and positive thoughts. Superman loves you all.

Rehab finally!

We are finally at rehab! He is not adjusting to it well. He will not go to sleep. He has had 10mg of melatonin and is still not asleep. They have so many rules here it is not funny. No heating pad and no bags in the fridge, you have to label all your stuff. The one good thing is that he has his own room for now. He has been having a bunch of seizures since we have been here. I hope this rehab stay goes by quick because I am starting to get tired. I just want too be home now. It has been to long. Please continue to pray for my Superman and send positive thoughts. Happy new year!

Superman says happy new year to all his fans and may you all have a blessed new year. He has been doing pretty good the past few days. We will probably be heading to rehab within the next week or so. Superman is going to Kennedy kreiger for rehab. I only plan on staying for 2 weeks that should give them plenty of time to do what they need to get him back to himself. Please continue pray and send positive thoughts and thanks for all the prayers!

Cards and trees!

Superman received more Christmas cards today! He also was given two Christmas trees, the one tree is a super hero themed and the other one is a baby Shark tree. I thought maybe Destiny could use at her baby shower. I also got a treat myself yesterday in the form of a massage. It was really relaxing. He is starting to move forward again. Please continue to pray for Superman and send out positive thoughts. Thanks for the cards and prayers.

Update on Superman!💜

So, Superman is still in John Hopkins. His seizures started to increase again, that means more test. He had 26 seizures yesterday. They are still talking about rehab, I am not real happy about that we have been here 42 days now. It sure would be nice to be home for Christmas but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

Update on my Superman!

Today is the first day I can say things are headed in the right direction. Superman got cleaned up by mommy today. We are having a family meeting Wednesday at 6:30. He is even starting look better finally. I have not been feeling good myself, been dealing with a toothache for some time now. It is finally starting to feel better. He looks so handsome with his hair spiked up. Thanks again for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Much love from Superman and his family.

Superman update!💜

So this happened today. They had him on bed today that rotated to a standing position. He tolerated it pretty well, he was standing up for about 20 minutes. It looks like he has gotten taller to me. They also removed the second chest tube. He does still have to be suctioned regularly because he still has a lot of secretions. They want to talk to us about going to rehab and few other things. Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Superman sure appreciates everything.

💜Update on Superman!💜

Superman is starting to get back to himself. He went down to IR yesterday and had another chest tube put in his right lung so that makes two chest tubes now. They are supposed to remove the first one sometime today. He was up most of the night coughing up secretions and being suctioned through a nasal trumpet. He has been having a few more seizures, they only last about 30 seconds. He sounds horrible. I still dont get how long it took to diagnose him with necrotizing pneumonia. I want everyone for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Please continue to pray and send positive thoughts.

Update on Superman!

20181124_1216133905205996904176729.jpgWe are now on day 25 since Superman was admitted to John Hopkins. Today is the first day he has been in a chair since being here. He still sounds really congested. They do breathing treatments four times a day and suctioning him out regularly. He was supposed to go down to IR to have a procedure done yesterday but they couldn’t fit him in. So he is suppose to go Monday. Hopefully they don’t cancel it again. He is still really week. Please continue to pray and send positive thoughts. Thanks all the prayers and positive thoughts. 💜

Not a good night!!!

Superman had a rough night. His blood pressure kept dropping down to 70/30 they had put him back on the norepinephrine to help with that. He is also on the c- pap instead of the nasal cannula. He has been resting most of the morning. Oh yeah that’s right it is Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving everyone from Superman at John Hopkins.
